In South Asia, only 53% of the total population goes on to secondary school. Only 58% of adults in this region are literate, which traps them into the 32% of people living on less than a dollar day.
In order to break this cycle of poverty, the time to reach these children is now. The WCS Sponsor a School program works to provide all children with access to quality education.
$300 a year (or $25 per month) is the commitment level needed to sponsor a school. $25 a month works out to less than one dollar a day. How much could you change the world for a dollar a day?
Sponsors cover a school's basic necessities, including:
- teacher salaries
- water and electricity bills
- building maintenance
- text books
- desks
- student uniforms
- school lunches
The impact of your Sponsorship is significant. By covering these costs, tuition is made affordable to all children in the community who wish to attend school. Quite simply, School Sponsors change lives.

the lives of these children.

Each year you will receive two updates from your Sponsored School, including:
- your school's profile
- recent photos
- personal letters from teachers and students
- video footage
- a report on the country and community where your school is located
